Our youth activities promote Biblical values and help build lifelong friendships.
Good day everyone. I pray you are all doing well and staying safe. We are only 5 or 6 months into the covid19 pandemic and I for one am ready to see it end. But… we are not losing heart and we are not letting covid keep us from gathering on Wednesday nights! We are running between 10 and 15 students each week. We have had to make a few adjustments but everyone seems to be getting along just fine. We can no longer do any contact games so we have been doing “Sword Drills” instead, and for those who don’t know what that is, it is when everyone races to be the first one to find a verse in the Bible. It sure helps knowing the books of the Bible. Our meals are pre-packaged now to limit the amount of people contact with the food. Our seating in the youth room has been split up to allow for social distancing and I have been wiping down the tables and chairs every week with a disinfectant. I don’t know if it helps or not but I will keep doing it until I hear something different. I’m so happy to tell you all that we have found something extra to do outside of Wednesday nights and that is help out with the Salvation Army’s food-drive-thru. They did two in July and are doing another in August. Unfortunately, we ran out of food before we ran out of cars, kind of sad to have to turn people away. And of course we are still mowing the church property with Charlie on Friday mornings. And that’s all I got for this month. Hopefully I will have more to talk about next month. We love you all and thank you all for your kindness and support of our Youth Group.
Love and Peace,
